This originally started out as what you see on the left, I've been in an art block for the past week and basically ditched drawing for the final few days of it... but yesterday it hit me like a train and I just felt an incredible urge to draw.
The lineart rough sketch was the result... however, despite having no relevance to anything I'm working on, I figured I liked it a lot as it was gritty and rough. I coloured it in and cleaned up the line art in flash with my wacomboard and shaded and added highlights in photoshop, as well as several other effects.
Took me a few hours to complete because I went hypo on the details. :/
However, finally back out of my art block. The shortest one ever in history for me so far, can't be a bad thing, right?
Felt compelled to upload this for our fans to see and to help show people how my art progresses through each stage of production. I should note that I can make better sketches, but I was moody and wanted to break out of my artblock so ignore the messy lines.
Anywho, for those of you waiting on your requests from me (Lourwind/Lewin Griffin) then know you'll get them in the next day or so. Sorry for the wait.
((The character Lourwind belongs to myself, Lewin Griffin and Bottomless Pit Studios.))
