Serving The WarThings are so silent now, here in the falling snow. My senses tell me that they are there, a life I had to leave behind. Dancing gently in the falling snow, I smile watching my children go,Playing to and fro with the falling snow.My eyes water in happiness, But I know they are not really there, Not caught in this war of the land. I hear the laughter and whispering, I know that my love one is thinking of me. I close my eyes and listen, I know that my love is there.I am a solider in this war,I will serve till it over,When I can return to my lover,And say that it's over.
