What could be more awesome then a "Last Action Hero" Parody poster? A "Last Action Duke" poster drawn by not one, but three of our biggest artists here at the Studio.
I (Lourwind), along with the talents of Duke and Phi, have produced our most amazing poster yet!
The 3D city in the background was also the city seen in Tales of Atlantis, however, incredibly edited to remove key structures that would give this away.
Phi, Kev and myself also worked together on the poses and general setup of the poster.
We hope you like this kick ass poster.
Kevin will be uploading this to his personal account so if you see it there, it isn't stolen.
Duke and Alessa belong to Duke and Bottomless Pit Studios.
((EDIT: Catchphrase may change later on so be prepared. I made a mock phrase until Kev gets on so we could upload it early.))
Whoever who designed this work of art is a pure genius... Well done. I give 10 out of 10... A mix of 3D and cartoon, I like. Too bad there's no more shows which does that... Awww...
It was a heavy mix, but Kevin did a basic version of the poster and approached me to do it up in my art style. So I did a bigger higher def version with improved line art and poses, however I fudged the arms and hands in the original. So Phi marked in redline areas that needed improving and we came up with a few better poses as a result.
I then spent the past week tweaking and colouring it, before finally shading.
Then I borrowed shots from my Tales of Atlantis comic, slammed the city in behind the image, applied post processsing effects such as clouds and lensflares. Texture overlays and darkened the image.
After which we applied the title effects and logo's.
It would have been completed faster but this week was a real mess. -Lourwind.
Do you have any ideas for other posters we could parody with our characters?
